A highly efficient PTMS magnetic separation process scheme for kaolin, comprising the following steps:
(1) Simple purification of raw kaolin ore to obtain magnetic materials (or purified kaolin);
(2) Step (1) The obtained magnetic separation raw material should be prepared with water to make a mixed slurry of 15%, and then the magnetic separation raw material is 5%. After sodium hexametaphosphate slurry stirring for 20min, 325 mesh wet screen;
(3) Conduct high gradient magnetic separation under the slurry of 325 mesh in step (2), control the magnetic field strength of the high gradient magnetic separation machine to 1.4T and the slurry flow rate to 0.8 cm/s, and remove the slurry through high gradient PTMS magnetic separation to obtain the concentrate slurry;
(4) According to the amount of alum added to 4% of the quality of concentrate slurry, the concentrate slurry in step (3) is added to alum flocculation (flocculation 30min), pressure filtration, drying, packaging, to obtain magnetic concentration concentrate;
(5) The magnetic concentrate concentrate obtained by PTMS magnetic separation was calcined to obtain calcined kaolin (or calcined products), and calcined kaolin for whiteness test. When the leaming whiteness test of magnetic concentrate products was conducted, the leaming whiteness was 91.9%, the Fe2O3 content was reduced from 1.27% before magnetic separation to 0.409%, the iron removal rate was 67.8%, and the TiO2 content was reduced from 0.29% to 0.198%.
