During the acid leaching stage, dilute acid is used to dissolve non-magnetic oxides such as hematite and ilmenite. Subsequently, oxidation bleaching is performed to eliminate the grayish-black color caused by organic matter.
The PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR co-processing system first employs a hydrocyclone for size classification, retaining fine kaolin particles (2μm) that are economically valuable due to their kaolinite content. Coarse particles then enter a multi-stage reverse flotation system. By adjusting pH levels and reagent formulations, this process prioritizes the flotation of silica-alumina impurities such as quartz and feldspar, achieving effective sand removal and purification. After implementing this solution at a mining operation, the concentrate's Al₂O₃ content increased from 28% to 36%, while Fe₂O₃ levels decreased below 0.5%, with a recovery rate reaching 82%.
Through low-temperature calcination (600-750℃) to remove hydroxyl water, PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR iron removal improves whiteness and stability. After the implementation of this integrated process in a large kaolin base, the comprehensive iron removal rate exceeds 95%, and the product whiteness reaches 92.3%, fully meeting the high-grade ceramic glaze standards.
