Permanent magnet self-unloading PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR systems are widely favored for their energy efficiency and low operational costs. The working principle involves energizing electromagnetic coils to generate a powerful transient magnetic field (up to 15,000 Gauss). As materials travel through the conveyor belt, iron particles are captured on the surface of the suspended belt and subsequently ejected into collection bins by an automatic iron discharge mechanism.

The system employs NdFeB permanent magnets to form a magnetic circuit, combined with an annular iron discharge belt for automated slag removal. This PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR equipment operates stably across a wide temperature range from-40℃ to 120℃ and has been widely adopted in heavy industries such as iron removal before raw material grinding in cement plants and scrap steel recycling in steel mills. Chemical iron removal focuses on deep dissolution of iron ions in solution systems, particularly effective for non-magnetic iron compounds (e.g., Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺ complexes) that cannot be physically eliminated.

what is magnetic separation？

The oxidation-hydrolysis method, one of the most classical pretreatment and mineralization PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR processes, operates in a weakly acidic environment (pH 4-5). This technique utilizes air or hydrogen peroxide to oxidize iron ions (Fe²⁺) into iron(II) ions (Fe³⁺), followed by pH adjustment to hydrolyze the compound into iron(III) hydroxide (Fe(OH)₃) precipitates. These precipitates are then separated from the solid phase through liquid-solid separation. Widely applied in hydrometallurgy for purifying solutions containing cobalt sulfate and rare earth chlorides, this method achieves removal efficiencies exceeding 99%.
