What Is Magnetic Separation ?

Conventional PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment: PTMS dry weak magnetic field separator, including PTMS iron remover, PTMS magnetic pulley, PTMS cylinder magnetic separator; PTMS dry high magnetic field separator including PTMS induction roller magnetic separator, PTMS dry electromagnetic disc type high magnetic separator, PTMS dry roller type high magnetic separator).

(a)PTMS dry low intensity magnetic separator

1) PTMS iron remover
PTMS iron remover is mainly used to remove the inclusion of iron or iron chips from the material flow. There are electromagnetic and permanent magnetic. There are two kinds of fixed suspension and belt suspension.

2) PTMS magnetic pulley
Application: Used for pre-concentration of large (10-120mm) strong magnetic kaolin, potash albspar, quartz sand ore, can separate the surrounding rock mixed into the ore, reduce the dilution of the original ore, generally used in the coarse crushing of the raw ore and the final crushing products before grinding on the separation. The main function is to get rid of useless waste rock, improve the grade of ore into the grinding machine, reduce the amount of grinding machine, so as to reduce the grinding cost. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3). We should know that the grinding cost in the whole beneficiation production accounted for 60% ~ 70% of the ratio, and dry separation magnetic pulley can discard the tail mineral rate up to 15% ~ 20% in advance. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3).

3)PTMS drum type magnetic separator
Used for the dry separation of fine magnetic kaolin, potash albspar, quartz sand ore, also suitable for removing magnetic impurity and purifying magnetic material from powder material. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3).

PTMS dry high intensity magnetic separator according to its structure is divided into induction roller type, disk type, cylinder type and permanent magnet roller type four categories.

1)PTMS induction roller magnetic separator
The magnetic roller consists of an electromagnetic system, a sorting system and a transmission system. In order to reduce eddy current heating and transmission power, the magnetic roller is alternately stacked with thin magnetic conductive steel sheets and non-magnetic disks. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3). Used for the purification and separation of kaolin, potassium albite, quartz sand and other minerals.

2)PTMS dry electromagnetic disc type high intensity magnetic separator
It is suitable for the weak magnetic ore whose specific magnetization coefficient is greater than 5.0×10-7m3/kg and particle size is less than 2 mm. It is mainly used as coarse concentrate of kaolin, potash albite and quartz sand. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3).

It is composed of ore feeding hopper, weak magnetic feeding barrel, induction ore unloading roller, magnetic roller, ore receiving hopper, etc. Two magnetic rollers are arranged relative to each other to form a closed magnetic circuit. The two magnetic rollers are driven by worm gear reduction mechanism and rotate relative to each other. The gap is changed by pole distance adjustment mechanism. The induction ore unloading roller is made of industrial pure iron and its surface is machined into a prismatic projection.

Application: used for kaolin, potassium albite, quartz sand sorting (rough sorting, fine sorting, sweep sorting) particle size below 3 mm containing a variety of different magnetic minerals. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3).

Summary:
PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment and PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment application is different:
(1) different feeding: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment can select the ore humidity below 5%, and PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment beneficiation process must rely on water as the medium of magnetic separator.
(2) different feeding particle size: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment is used for sorting large, coarse particle strong magnetic and fine particle weak magnetic ore (beach sand). PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment, used for separation of fine strong magnetic ore and fine weak magnetic ore.
(3) Different processes: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment can realize the separation of minerals without water, and the process is simple. The process flow of PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment is complicated.
