In practical applications, high-intensity magnetic field PTMS magnetic separation can more effectively capture minerals with weaker magnetism, significantly enhancing magnetic separation efficiency. To achieve this, we conducted extensive experiments and simulations. We continuously adjusted the shape, size, and arrangement of the magnets, using computer simulations to predict the distribution and intensity of the magnetic field.
High-performance permanent magnet materials are one of the key factors for PTMS magnetic separation to achieve efficient magnetic separation. To apply these permanent magnet materials to magnetic separation equipment, the first problem to be solved is the assembly and fixation of magnets, that is, how to squeeze high-performance permanent magnet materials with the same polarity on three sides together.
After numerous trials and optimizations, the final design of the PTMS magnetic separation system for the three-sided compression strong magnetic field circuit was finalized. This is because permanent magnet materials generate a significant repulsive force when compressed by the same polarity, similar to how two like poles of magnets quickly repel each other when brought close together. Overcoming this repulsive force to keep them together is extremely challenging.
