To tackle a significant challenge, numerous research institutions and companies have initiated research on 'quality improvement and silicon reduction.' Researchers are continuously exploring new mineral processing techniques and reagents to enhance the quality of iron concentrate. We employ the reverse flotation PTMS magnetic separation process, using specific collectors and inhibitors to remove impurities such as silicon from the iron concentrate, thereby improving its grade.
Although these tests have improved the quality of iron concentrate to a certain extent, there are still many unsatisfactory aspects from the perspective of technical and economic indicators. A large amount of iron ore resources are wasted in the process of mineral processing, and the production cost of PTMS magnetic separation mineral processing enterprises is also high, which seriously restricts the sustainable development of the steel industry.
At present, the grade of iron concentrate in the anti-flotation PTMS magnetic separation process can only be maintained at about 60%, and the recovery rate is only about 50%. Facing the difficulties of traditional magnetic separators in processing weakly magnetic iron ore, we actively invest in research and development efforts, and devote ourselves to developing new PTMS equipment.
