What Is Magnetic Separation Process?

Common PTMS wet magnetic separator: PTMS wet low intensity magnetic separation equipment, including PTMS magnetic water tank, PTMS permanent magnet cylinder magnetic separator; PTMS wet high intensity magnetic separation equipment, including PTMS wet induction roller type high intensity magnetic separator, PTMS wet high intensity magnetic separator flat ring magnetic separator.

1, PTMS wet low intensity magnetic separation equipment
1)PTMS magnetic water tank
Features: simple structure, no moving parts, easy maintenance, simple operation, large processing capacity, no power consumption. The disadvantage is that the coarse-grained gangue cannot be discharged.
Application: Mainly used to remove fine gangue and slime, sometimes also used for concentration and dehydration.

2)PTMS permanent magnet cylinder magnetic separator
PTMS permanent magnet cylinder magnetic separator is a kind of magnetic separation equipment widely used in magnetic separation plants. According to the structure of the sorting bottom box and the flow direction of the product is different, divided into downstream type, countercurrent type and semi-countercurrent type three. Semi-countercurrent type is used most.
It is often used to deal with coarse magnetic ore with particle size of 5mm or less. It has high operation reliability and low power consumption, but it can't get the maximum recovery and the best concentrate quality
(b) PTMS Ⅰ type permanent magnet magnetic separator
It is suitable for the roughing and scavenging of 0-0.6mm strong magnetic ore, as well as the recovery of heavy medium in industry. The machine has high energy consumption.
(c) PTMS Ⅱ type permanent magnet magnetic separator

Semi-countercurrent magnetic separator is suitable for the roughing and cleaning of 0-0.5mm strong magnetic ore, especially for the cleaning of 0-0.15mm strong magnetic ore; Excessive coarse grains in the feed can precipitate in the tank, which will worsen the separation.

2, PTMS wet high intensity magnetic separation equipment
Suitable for sorting fine particles (0.03-1mm) of weak magnetic minerals (such as kaolin, potassium albspar, quartz sand, etc.).

Summary:
PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment and PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment application is different:
(1) different feeding: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment can select the ore humidity below 5%, and PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment beneficiation process must rely on water as the medium of magnetic separator.
(2) different feeding particle size: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment is used for sorting large, coarse particle strong magnetic and fine particle weak magnetic ore (beach sand). PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment, used for separation of fine strong magnetic ore and fine weak magnetic ore.
(3) Different processes: PTMS dry magnetic separation equipment can realize the separation of minerals without water, and the process is simple. The process flow of PTMS wet magnetic separation equipment is complicated.
