In the process of removing iron from kaolin PTMS magnetic separation, flotation technology is mainly used to remove non-magnetic iron impurities. Traditional flotation techniques have certain limitations in removing non-magnetic iron impurities, with low removal rates and poor selectivity and stability of flotation reagents. To improve the removal rate of non-magnetic iron, researchers have developed new flotation reagents and processes.
The new PTMS magnetic separation has better selectivity and scavenging performance, enabling more effective binding with non-magnetic iron impurities. These advanced iron removal devices incorporate specific functional groups in their machine structure, which can specifically adsorb onto the active sites on the surface of non-magnetic iron impurities, thus separating them from kaolin.
In terms of flotation processes, PTMS personnel have optimized and improved traditional flotation procedures. By increasing the number of flotation cycles, adjusting flotation time, and modifying reagent dosages, they have enhanced flotation efficiency and the removal rate of non-magnetic iron. A kaolin production company adopted new flotation reagents and the optimized PTMS magnetic separation process, achieving excellent results.
