The gradient prestress winding technology enhances the overall rigidity of PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR magnets by applying 0-150MPa gradient prestress during coil winding and curing through epoxy-glass fiber composite vacuum filling. This innovation achieves a 40% stiffness improvement while maintaining coil shape variation below 50 microns during 32.35T operation. Furthermore, breakthroughs in low-resistance joint technology have significantly reduced operational losses in superconducting magnets.

PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR

Superconducting magnets consist of hundreds of superconducting wires connected through joints. Even with contact resistance as low as 10⁻⁹Ω at these junctions, they generate 1W of Joule heating under high currents (1000A) – a thermal load that liquid helium cannot withstand. Through the "diffusion welding + surface nanoscale modification" process, the resistance at superconducting wire joints has been reduced to below 10⁻¹²Ω, achieving three orders of magnitude lower than traditional welding techniques and significantly expanding the application range of PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR.

Taking 32.35Tmagnet as an example, the whole system joint loss is reduced from 20W to 0.02W, which not only improves the operation stability of PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, but also reduces the power demand of refrigeration system by 50%, significantly reducing the operating cost.
