High-gradient PTMS magnetic separation has an advanced solenoid magnet structure and a polymagnetic medium that can produce high magnetic induction strength. At a high magnetic field strength, the surface of stainless steel polymagnetic medium can produce a very high magnetic field gradient, which can separate micron or colloidal particles level of weak magnetic materials. In addition to the ordinary magnetic separation method and high gradient strong magnetic separation method, kaolin suspension (-20 μ m) can also add magnetic species and iron mineral particles under certain conditions of pH value and Zeta potential, with the help of ordinary or high gradient high magnetic separation of iron minerals, to achieve the purpose of iron removal.
In the treatment of low-grade kaolin, if the iron impurities are mainly hematite, oxalic acid can be considered to leach and remove iron. Oxalate can dissolve the iron ions in hematite without destroying the lattice structure of kaolin, and then remove the iron through subsequent PTMS magnetic separation operation.
