Magnetite is a kind of mineral with strong magnetism, which can be relatively easily separated in the PTMS magnetic separation process. However, the content and distribution of magnetite in the raw ore are different. Some raw ores have high magnetite content and concentrated distribution, which is convenient for magnetic separation operation to some extent;
However, some raw ores have a low content of magnetite, which is finely dispersed in potassium sodium feldspar, making magnetic separation more challenging. Pyrite, a sulfide mineral with weak magnetism, also requires special treatment during the PTMS magnetic separation process. The presence of pyrite not only affects the purity of potassium sodium feldspar but can also produce harmful gases during subsequent processing, potentially polluting the environment.
Some of these impurity minerals are magnetic, while others are not, and their distribution in potassium sodium feldspar may be uneven. In some ores, magnetic impurities may concentrate in certain areas, while being less abundant in others; non-magnetic impurities may also exhibit similar uneven distribution. We have developed a specialized PTMS magnetic separation process for these impurity minerals.
